Jeff Burton has called Charlottesville, Virginia home since arriving in 1988 as a student-athlete and outfielder on the University of Virginia baseball team. For more than 25 years, he has built a distinguished career as an Investment Advisor, serving higher-net-worth individuals and coaches nationwide with comprehensive investment management and financial planning. Alongside his professional work, Jeff has spent over three decades mentoring young men and women on and off the field, helping them navigate athletics, academics, and life.

In 2010, he founded H3 Baseball, a nationwide nonprofit expanding access to the game for athletes of all backgrounds. He then became a successful high school head coach at The Covenant School and, in 2014, launched the Charlottesville Tom Sox, a 501(c)(3) summer collegiate team in the Valley Baseball League. Under his leadership, the Tom Sox earned national recognition, being named the #1 summer collegiate organization in America in 2017. Over nine years, Jeff recruited more than 500 college baseball players to Charlottesville.

In 2025, Jeff was appointed Recruiting Coordinator for the Bourne Braves in the prestigious Cape Cod League, reinforcing his reputation as a national leader in player development and talent identification. Off the field, he has supported career development for more than 200 student-athletes, helping them secure internships through the Tom Sox and the Charlottesville community.

He is also the founder of the Burley Restoration Project, launched in 2020—a multimillion-dollar effort to restore the historic athletic facilities of the formerly segregated Burley High School. His community commitment extends through his service on the UVA Physicians Group Board of Directors, where he completes his term as Chair in 2025. UPG is a $700 million nonprofit supporting the clinicians of UVA Health.

In 2021, after helping more than 500 former players and referrals secure opportunities to play college baseball, Jeff launched Jeff Burton Consulting, now recognized as the nation’s leading advisory agency for high school families pursuing collegiate athletics.
